Amp Research PowerStep Running Boards Features and Benefits

For the most unique and practical running boards available, go with the Amp Research PowerStep Running Boards. This is a fully automatic running board that tucks under the truck when no one is getting into or out of the truck, but once the door opens the running boards will quickly extend out to provide a step. This will save you ground clearance while your driving but still makes life easier with its automatic motion.

  • Slip Resistant and Fully Illuminated out of the box
  • Fully Automatic Retractable Step
  • Activated by opening and closing the door
  • 5 year/60,000 miles warranty
  • Die-cast Aluminum linkage arms with stainless steel pivot pins
  • Aluminum board with textured powder-coated finish

Fully Automatic

The PowerStep Running Boards extend 10-12" out from under the truck in under 1 second. It's not like waiting for an elevator door, these strong steps are there immediately when you need them. As soon as the door opens, they extend and when the door closes, they retract into their original position.

Superior Strength

Even with a retractable hinge, these running boards still manage to maintain a load capacity of 600lbs. The steps are constructed of aluminum slabs that are powder coated with a textured finish for maximum grip and durability. Stainless Steel pivot pins provide zero maintenance precision motion over and over again.

Integrated LED's

Activated by your existing door sensors, the extending running boards are accompanied by LED's to make the step into your truck that much safer. Amp went above and beyond what most running board companies would consider safe and practical.

5 Year / 60,000 mile Warranty

Amp Research backs up the PowerStep with a "no nonsense" 5 year or 60,000 mile warranty. This product was made in the USA where it was designed, engineered, and manufactured in Irvine, California.

"It's a wide non-slip step that tucks away when you don't need it, but offers a better stepping location than any other running board when you do need it."

"Because it is a powered step, installation does require tapping into the vehicle's electrical system. Even though the instructions show how to do it completely, we still recommend professional installation. "

"Some people like them because they are cool and some like them because of how easy it is to get in and out of your vehicle. I've even had some customers get them because they didn't want to spend $75k on a hip replacement just so they can get in and out of their truck."

Had the power step for a few weeks and love them. So much easier than the ones that came on the truck. The width of them makes stepping on them to get into the truck so much safer and more comfortable. Very happy we made the purchase.

I love them cause i like the clean look they give when they are retracted. Plus it freaks people out when they get in for the first time.

Very excited to put these on! I have had them for about a week and they are much better than the tube running boards. They make it much easier to get in and out of the truck! I would recommend them to anyone with a lifted truck. Review provided by F150Forum.com

I installed the power steps and works great. Very easy to get in and out of the vehicle. The lights are very helpful at night. Can't wait to receive and install the trim to give the steps a little shine.

I have the amp steps on my tundra and i love them, i got tired of throwing the kids in the back seat, the steps tuck away nicely under the truck, and looks great. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Just put a set on my truck. Love them so far. Only problem is wire diagram isn't correct on instruction or the 2010 and up changed the door wire colors. either way love them so far after figuring out wires.
