Grilles and Grille Inserts

Not only do grille inserts style your ride but they protect your radiator from road debris and help more fresh air circulate into your engine.

Grille inserts are offered in several different finishes including a dark chrome or a polished mirror chrome finish. They are also available in a mesh finish or even a gloss black finish. Some manufacturers even offer them in a custom painted design

The term grille inserts is often spelled grill inserts and they are interchangeable terms*. They are commonly used on trucks (pickup trucks) and are available for Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Nissan and Toyota trucks and SUVs.

Grille inserts are installed over the top of your existing grille and usually use simple fasteners and can be installed in minutes. You should not have to do any drilling or grinding or cutting to make them fit.

Winter or Summer grille inserts

Winter grille inserts often have smaller holes for air flow because you want your engine to warm up a bit faster and the smaller holes allow a little less cold air flow.

Summer grille inserts have larger holes to allow much more air pass and so your radiator has less cooling to do.

Grille Inserts versus Grille Guards

Inserts differ from grille guards because a guard will typically be larger and will mount outside of the grille and often extend as far out as the headlights. Guards are for more utility and to protect the front of your pick up truck from brush and other off-road hazards.
